For the new brief our work has to be inspired from a piece, whatever the collection from the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. I recently spent time in London so I also visited the V & A whilst I was there. The museum is full of inspiration, I was slightly overwhelmed as I always am visiting it.
The ceramics mostly caught my eye. The colour schemes, the patterns – repeating or randomised etc. Also culture inspired me, how every culture has a different motif/pattern on their ceramic or tile, and the different colour schemes different cultures use.
From here I will take part in mark making inspired by this piece.
